nerd, yup that's me
Well just trying to confirm that.
My elders quorum is doing a pinewood derby so of course I have to design a great car.
To do this I am downloading a 3d molding program, and if I could book time in a wind tunnel I would do it. I think I’m taking this a little too serous. I just need to find a small electric motor to put it my car. We only have a 1 lb weight limit and I really want to try this motor idea.
Well being a nerd is not so bad.

Camping
The boys are really learning to have fun when we go camping, but I’m finding that trip with the boys means I don’t get much sleep. They are getting better about sleeping in the motorhome. Which isn’t the best thing because when we go camping with out the parents we will be in a tent. The first night Isaac didn’t sleep be a few hours at a time. I guess I could have let him cry, I really don’t think grandma or papa would even hear him as soundly as they sleep, but I woke up and held him each time.He did better the second night, I know I woke up every two hours to make sure he was still asleep. Aidan slept fine, he is used to the motorhome and well after running around all day he had no problem sleeping.
The boys had fun that is what mattered.

Help from the boys
Ok Ok I know I haven’t posted in a while; I just don’t go online much when I’m not in class.
Put I had to post these pictures, I was building a floor for a shed and was finishing up over the last few days, well I had help.
I put a few of the pictures Stacie got and one of the pirate. My boys are so cool.
We going camping this weekend so maybe I will write some stuff t post for when I get back.
I had an interview last week I wanted to talk about.

Happy July 4
Happy Fourth of July
Went to the lake with the family. Dad got the new boat out and we went to Echo. It’s a smaller reservoir but big enough. The water was great, not to cold.
I actually water-skied. This is a big deal now. I don’t have the strength in my arms that used to. But still got up on the second try. Well, I was impressed with myself.
I, of course, am hurting today. (Stacie says "a lot!")
After trying the tub we stopped out in the lake and we swam. Roger and his girls were there so we just jumped in.
I was floating in the tub and as I went past the front Isaac saw me and tried to climb out of the boat, so I grabbed him and we floated in the tub for a while. Mom took a picture; I will post it once I get a copy.
Aidan has been sick for the last few days so Stacie stayed home with him.
Got me thinking we haven’t taken Aidan swimming in a while. Will have to correct that.
After dinner at grandma and mowing the lawn we got back home in time to watch fireworks.
A nice thing about our house is that we can watch the fireworks from our front yard. So after Isaac went to sleep we sat in the front yard with Aidan and watched the show.
Aidan is getting old enough to remember all kind of things and will talk about them in the weirdest times. Anyway he was excited to watch the fireworks and loved watching.
Well going to go rest my shoulder. I need to get it looked at again.

Didn't think I would blog about this
My disclaimer, the use of deadly force to protect property is not a good idea. It would not stand up in court and any other litigation that would be brought against you.
With that being said, I’m on the side of the two students. I have had my car broken into several times and a storage shed, and was told basically that I would have to find the stuff in pawn shops and then notify the police, if I was to get anything back.(this is probably where I started cruising pawn shops). So I think is a good thing that the guys decided not to be sheep and do something about the situation. It was not the first time and they had not gotten really any help from the police. It might even get the crooks thinking I may get shot for stealing.I also have to say that I have a lot of respect for the police, but with a full plate, break ins are not going to get a lot of priority.Yes there is the argument that the you shouldn’t take the law into your own hands, but really according to the story they guys did not go out guns blazing, they tried to detain the crooks and didn’t fire until the one student thought the car was going to hit his friend.
So was it smart to confront the crooks, maybe not completely. Were they prepared, I would say yes. Would I do it? Yes.
I guess I don’t like the thought that the crook will continue to break the law because they know that they are not on the cops radar because it is small enough not to warrant effort and that people are just going to sit by and wait for the cops to do something.
Owell just thinking and babbling. My next post will be better. It’s a good thing only my family reads this.
